Esme has engaged in several projects in their initial research and development phase, including those by artists Devika Rao and Balbir Singh (Balbir Singh Dance Company), Jamaal Burkmar (Extended Play) and Pablo Reyero (Naked Moralist). These processes provoked Esme to share in culture, explore the possibilities of identity and establish her own sense of self as a woman stepping into the creative industry.

In 2024, Esme’s choreographic project ‘Where Do i Put The Anger?’ underwent its first period of research and development supported by The Middle Floor, Leeds. In March 2026, Esme will revisit this project for its second period of research and devlopment in Residency at IOU Creation Centre in Halifax, funded by Abderrahim Crickmay Charitable Settlement.

Esme was selected for Young Choreographers 2024/25 with Pavilion Dance South West, in which she is exploring various choreographic practices and techniques with artists Theo Clinkard and Vidya Patel. Esme was also selected as a Future Leader 2025 with Dance Consortium. Through this she attended lectures with industry professionals at theatres such as Sadler’s Wells and Theatre Royal Newcastle, as well as observing the rehearsal and performance process of companies such as Ballet BC.
